
EMAIL SETUP FOR ANDROID
ADD YOUR @SOUTHERN.EDU EMAIL TO AN ANDROID PHONE
Southern Adventist University email accounts use Microsoft Exchange Online (Microsoft 365). On Android, we recommend using the Microsoft Outlook app.
RECOMMENDED: MICROSOFT OUTLOOK FOR ANDROID
- Open the Google Play Store and install Microsoft Outlook.
- Open Outlook.
- Tap Add Account or Get Started.
- Enter your full Southern email address, for example username@southern.edu.
- Follow the Microsoft sign-in prompts.
- Sign in with your Southern account password.
- Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) if prompted.
- Accept any permission or security prompts required for your account.
NEED HELP?
If setup fails:
- Make sure your Android phone is connected to the internet
- Double-check your full @southern.edu email address
- Make sure you can sign in to your Southern Microsoft 365 account in a web browser
- Complete any MFA prompt on your phone or authentication app
- Remove the account and add it again if needed
- If the app asks for a server name during setup, enter outlook.office365.com.
