Study Zones

McKee Library’s study spaces provide an environment that fosters learning and creativity and are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. Patrons using the library study spaces must follow all guidelines.

Collaborative Study

The main floor of the library is a collaborative study environment. Quiet conversations and group work are permitted. Groups may also reserve a study room for more privacy. 

Quiet Study

The second floor of the library and the Center for the Study of 19th Century America, located on the library’s third floor, are quiet spaces and restricted to independent study only. 

While the second floor is available during regular library hours, the Center for the Study of 19th Century America is open during select days and hours:


Fall 2024 Hours
Sunday: 12 pm to 11 pm
Monday - Thursday: 5 pm to 11 pm
Friday: Closed

Silent Study

Silent Study is on the McKee Library's second floor, beside Student Success and Retention Services. Talking is not permitted in the Silent Study.

Silent Study Hours
Sunday: 12 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Friday: Closed
