
Student Organization Application
Introduction
To become a registered student organization at Southern Adventist University, please
follow the steps listed below:
- Complete the form below. The registration deadlines for fall and winter semesters
are:
- August 28, 2026 by 5pm for all organizations (returning and new)
- January 22, 2027 by 5pm for new organizations
- Once you fill out your registration, your clubs information will be submitted for approval through the Student Development Committee.
- If your club has been approved, Club Presidents and Advisors will receive notification from the Office of Student Life & Activities.

- September 1, 2026 - Required Treasurers Meeting, 5:30pm, The Grid
- September 2, 2026 - Required Presidents and Advisers Meeting, 5:30pm, TBD
- January 27, 2027 - Required Presidents and Advisors Meeting for newly registered clubs, 5:30pm, TBD
Eligibility
Minimum qualifications for holding office in any student organization and university
committees are:
- Be a current student
- Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.50.
- Maintain a record of good citizenship which includes Enrichment Credit programming (record must be clear for the last two semesters prior to serving).
The organization should:
- Be composed of students enrolled at Southern Adventist University
- Be related to student life on campus.
- Be controlled and directed by students attending Southern Adventist University.
- At least three student leaders must be listed on this form in addition to an adviser, minimum. These three leaders must be a president, treasurer, and secretary.
- Enlist the support of a faculty or staff member to be an adviser who is employed on a full-time basis with the University.
- Prepare a Constitution that outlines your organization name, purpose, governance/operating procedures.
- All dues/funds raised for the organization should be deposited in the University Cashiers office, located on the first floor of Wright Hall.
- Participate in regular community service activities if your organization would like to receive appropriations from Student Association.
- Abide by all regulations specified in the Student Organization Handbook.
