Elani Dodd will be teaching Health Assessment II, a class where nursing students are trained
on their interactions with patients. We need volunteers to be practice patients for
our students. You can share your personal health history or create a fictitious history
for the students to test their knowledge. You can dress comfortably. Exams are non-invasive.
If you are available to help during any of these days, even if you are only available
for a portion of the class, we'd love to have you! Please let Elani know the times
you will be available. Classes will be held in AdventHealth Hall, room 3214.
Email Elani at elanidodd@southern.edu or text at (423) 414-8123 if you are interested in this volunteer opportunity.
Marla Erskine, professor in the School of Nursing, is looking for help to supervise exams. You do NOT need to have any expertise in the subject. Your role is to be present to watch for talking, signs of cheating, etc. If there are any issues, you can notify the professor. You must be present for the full exam (2 hours). You can bring quiet hobbies, such as knitting, as long as you can still keep an eye on the students taking the test.
All exams are in AdventHealth Hall. Below are the dates and times.
If you are interested in volunteering for 1 or more days, please reach out to Marla
at marlaerskine@southern.edu and let her know the date(s) you are available.
