What is our Mission?

Our mission is to help students:

  • Step out in faith by saying yes to God’s leading, even when it feels unfamiliar or stretching.
  • Serve through short-term mission experiences that meet real needs with humility, consistency, and care.
  • Discover how God wants to use and transform them, allowing the experience to shape character, calling, and daily discipleship.

We approach Vision Trips as ministry that is both outward and inward—serving others while also growing personally in spiritual maturity, resilience, teamwork, and compassion.

To apply for a Vision Trip, submit the online application form above. Every item in step 1 must be fully completed to secure your spot and receive an official confirmation email. Anyone with an incomplete step 1 will be automatically placed on a waiting list.
What are Vision Trips?

Vision Trips are short-term mission experiences that occur during spring or summer break that help students discover how their careers can serve Jesus and His Great Commission.

 
Who can apply for Vision Trips?
Vision Trips are open to any currently enrolled SAU student and are generally filled on a first-come, first serve basis.
Are the Vision Trip dates final or subject to change?
Dates are tentative depending on flight itineraries and trip logistics.
How does fundraising work?
We use crowdfunding platforms to help participants raise funds for their Vision Trips. Once accepted, you will receive a personalized online fundraising link to share with family, friends, and supporters. 
What types of trips are available?
Because "every major has a mission," Vision Trips offers opportunities across medical and dental care, spiritual outreach, leading Vacation Bible School, hosting Week of Prayer, education, construction, landscaping, and more! 
How many people can participate in a trip?
Group sizes usually range from 15-25 participants, depending on the trip.
Is there a wait-list for trips?
If a trip is full, students may ask to be placed on a trip specific wait list. If a spot becomes available for an additional traveler, Vision Trips will contact the student on the waiting list to confirm interest.
How much do trips typically cost?
Participants are required to contribute or fundraise a minimum amount for each trip - this amount is based on many factors, but generally range from $1,200 to $2,200.
What travel documents do I need for the trip?
Travelers must have a valid passport, with a remaining validity of at least six months after the trip return date. Depending on the country, a visa may be required.
