Africa Mission Services (AMS)
Mission
Our mission is to facilitate immersive cross-cultural experiences by offering opportunities for student missionaries to engage with the Maasai culture, while simultaneously fostering the development of essential life skills.
Description
Africa Mission Services (AMS) is located in southern Kenya between the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Tanzania border. AMS is a nonprofit organization that runs a full-time health center with an emphasis in women’s health (delivering approximately 45-55 babies a month) and dental care and the development of both a primary and secondary school in the local region. Annually, AMS hosts 8 to 12 mission trips from various SDA academies, churches, and universities.
Accommodations
Housing for student missionaries will be located on the second floor of the newly constructed women’s health center located on our 10-acre clinic campus – where other AMS local staff live. The accommodations are a three-bedroom, two bath apartment with a common kitchen/living area. There is running water, flush toilets, electricity, Wi-Fi, a table, couch, fridge, and gas stove. Basic kitchen utensil and bedding are supplied.
