OUR FACILITIES
Southern Adventist University is located in the heart of some of the best outdoor
resources in North America.
Unlike any other university campus, Southern’s “outdoor classroom” has more than 30
miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, a 50'-by-200' natural rock climbing
wall, multiple caves, one of the best training ropes courses in the Southeast, and
other natural resources.
Within an hour of Southern’s campus, you’ll find world-class rock climbing areas; the highest concentration of caves in North America, including the deepest cave in the U.S.; a variety of rivers to canoe, kayak, and raft, including the Ocoee, which hosted the 1996 Olympics; the Great Smoky Mountains and millions of acres of protected wilderness for camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more. If it happens in the outdoors, it happens here!
